GR Public Museum the owner of Tomas’ pieces

As ArtPrize 2011 draws to a close, Grand Rapids Public Museum becomes the owner of one of Tomas Mayer’s paintings from the Agenda set. Tomas was one of a very few European artists exhibiting on the Festival. He was also in the minority exhibiting traditional art on canvas. The total number of visitors that came and saw his Art amounts 182,000.

Tomas' Art on Auctions

We are pleased to announce that in July and August a few art auctions took place, where paintings of Tomas Mayer could be bought. Auction Houses like AgraArt, Rempex (Warsaw) and Sopocki Dom Aukcyjny (Sopot), offered eminent 19th, 20th-century and contemporary works. Tomas Mayer's art appeared alongside such prominent names as Stasys Eidrigevicius, Pablo Picasso, Friedensreich Hundertwasser or Jan Tarasin. Congratulations to the lucky buyer of Tomas’ works!

Tomas Mayer at Grand Rapid Public Museum

It is now set that Tomas Mayer will exhibit at the Grand Rapids Public Museum during ArtPrize 2011.
The Museum selected Tomas from among many applicants and invited him to exhibit his Agendas. 10 of his works will be presented on the museum walls. The exhibition will be available between September 21 and October 9. It is still unclear which Agendas will be shown.

Tomas will take part in the ArtPrize festival, held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, US for the third time. The festival lasting from October 21 to November 9 turns the city of Grand Rapids into an art gallery for two weeks. Galleries, office lobbies, restaurants, courtyards, parks – most any space becomes an ArtPrize venue. Where Tomas will exhibit is still not decided – the venue juries are still picking their artists.

Exhibition at the Amber Room

From May 20th, selected paintings by Tomas Mayer can be seen at the Amber Room restaurant located in the Sobanski Palace. The prestigious exhibition will last over a month showing the most popular sets of Agendas and Relations. Amber Room is from September 2009 open to a wider clientele than only the Polish Business Club members. This year the restaurant was recommended in the Michelin Guide. This spring, at the Warsaw National Museum and the CSW, 3D cards designed by Tomas Mayer appeared. These cards present some of Tomas Mayer’s paintings, from the recognizable series – Alchemies. The 160² cm paintings can be bought by art lovers and fans, thanks to a handy, 100-times smaller “copy”. The idea was born in Stockholm, where they also are sold in the Moderna Museet.

Exhibition disaster in Wroclaw

The VariArt 2007 Exhibition was a memorable event, though it belongs to the worst when comes to art exhibitions. The place occurred to be a bookstore with the appropriate name of 'Szarlatan'. No conditions for exposing art what so ever. The art was hung, all went for the party, and took the art down the next morning. Ta-ta! The town of Wroclaw though, is one of the most beautiful in Poland making the trip worth.

Clifford Chance buys four paintings

The largest, and lately most rewarded law firm in the world, bought paintings for investment and prestige.
After a private presentation at The Westin Warsaw hotel, the representatives of Clifford & Chance decided to buy two of the exhibited works. After a later show in the office, the amount was extended to four. The works will be presented in the main conference room, reception and other conference rooms.

Every year at The Sheraton Warsaw, The Brotherhood of Gutenberg have a charity auction at their Gala – the Bal Słowa Polskiego (The Ball of The Polish Word). One of Tomas' paintings was auctioned. The realize price is a secret, but it was finally bought by the Grand Chancellor of the Brotherhood himself.
Tomas auctioned and won a box of Cuban cigars... Montecristo.

Every year at the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Synapsis Foundation (Fundacja Synapsis) organize a charity auction. Famous people paint christmas bulbs that are auctioned. This year, beside the Prime Minister and the President, Tomas Mayer had the honor.
